In 2023, DTEK Oil&Gas established its own service unit as a response to the shortage of high-tech oil and gas services after the start of the full-scale war.
Currently, these services cover not only the company's internal needs but are also offered to the external market. All service lines are primarily focused on technological capabilities. The use of the latest technologies has always been a competitive advantage of DTEK Oil&Gas as a production business. The same principle is being applied to the service unit.

Drilling

Vertical Scout ®

Vertical Scout ® 5’’–14’’ — for hole sizes from

Vertical Scout ® is a fully mechanical Rotary Steerable System (RSS) that autonomously maintains wellbore verticality while delivering high ROP. With a simpler and more reliable design, it combines the benefits of conventional RSS technology and provides cost-effective vertical drilling performance even in challenging geological conditions.
Advantages:- Fully mechanical Rotary Steerable System with no MWD requirement and high resistance to vibration.
- Automatically maintains wellbore verticality without limiting drilling parameters, enabling high ROP. Ensures precise trajectory control and simplifies verticality management.
- Improves drilling efficiency, particularly in formations with significant dip angles.
- Helps reduce overall project costs.
- Can be used with Positive Displacement Motors (PDMs) for additional ROP improvement, even at great depths exceeding 5000 m.
