Oil and gas19 October 2025
DTEK Oil&Gas has, for the first time, presented the capabilities of its in-house oil and gas services division to the market at the 9th Kyiv Oil & Gas Conference organised by Newfolk LLC — “Drilling. Stimulation. Environment and Occupational Safety”, held this week in Kyiv.
DTEK Oil&Gas Debuts Its Own High-Tech Services to the Market

During the presentation, Nataliia Grebenuuk, Director of the DTEK Oil&Gas Service Division, outlined the division’s key areas of operation and highlighted a number of technological solutions already implemented.

Established in 2023, the Service Division was created in response to a shortage of high-tech oil and gas services following the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine. For more than a year, it has been operating successfully not only to meet DTEK Oil&Gas’s internal needs but also to deliver services to external partners.

“We are building a service business guided by the same philosophy that drives DTEK Oil&Gas as a production company — a commitment to technology and efficiency. Each service line has been developed using cutting-edge technologies, modern engineering solutions, and approaches that comply with the highest international industry standards,” said Nataliia Grebenyuk, Director of the Service Division at DTEK Oil&Gas.

DTEK Oil&Gas currently offers the market a broad range of specialised services, including:

Drilling
The company operates three drilling rigs equipped with top drive systems. Personnel are certified to international IWCF standards, and the use of advanced technologies ensures high drilling speed and consistent work quality.

Seismic Exploration
To ensure maximum accuracy and data quality in geophysical surveys, the company uses the wireless STRYDE system — the world’s most compact nodal technology, capable of recording signals from 1 Hz. This enables high-density surveys even in hard-to-access locations.

Coiled Tubing, Nitrogen and Pumping Services
DTEK Oil&Gas operates two coiled tubing units for depths of up to 6,500 metres, along with three nitrogen and pumping units capable of pressures up to 700 atm. A dedicated hub for storing up to 122 tonnes of liquid nitrogen ensures uninterrupted supply and operational reliability.

Hydraulic Fracturing
All equipment within the fracturing fleet is mounted on all-terrain chassis, enabling access to challenging sites. Thermal tanks with a capacity of 1,000 m³ maintain the temperature of working fluids even in harsh winter conditions.

Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) and Slickline
For VSP operations, DTEK Oil&Gas uses equipment supplied by Avalon Sciences (UK). The company also offers Walkaway and Walkabove VSP services — a unique capability in the Ukrainian market. Slickline operations are carried out with high precision and zero non-productive time.

“Our focus is on technology and quality. We have built a services division that not only fulfils DTEK Oil&Gas’s internal needs but also delivers competitive, high-quality services to the wider market. We are open to partnerships and committed to advancing Ukraine’s oil and gas services industry,” added Nataliia Grebenyuk.
