The company operates in accordance with the DTEK Group's Environmental Policy, complies with environmental legislation and introduces modern technologies to minimise its environmental impact. Our environmental approach is based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard, which is integrated into the company's overall management system. DTEK Oil&Gas's strategy is based on the principles of sustainable development in compliance with the requirements of the European and international legislation.

Key environmental practices include:

• pitless well drilling, which reduces the use of land resources and the impact on the ecosystem,
• cable-free seismic survey - one of the most environment-friendly methods of subsoil exploration,
• responsible soil recultivation – we return the fertile soil layer to its original state after completion of works,
• return of associated reservoir water to underground horizons through absorption wells – a modern and safe approach to water management,
• use of the latest and safest technologies and equipment that improve industrial safety and minimise environmental impact.

In addition, the company is continually monitoring the environment on its licensed areas, including air, water and soil analysis. DTEK Oil&Gas is also developing a comprehensive decarbonisation plan aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. Our waste management is focused on reduction of waste generation, increase of recycling and minimisation of waste disposal and burial.
