RESILIENCE MARK provides professional recognition for Ukrainian business teams implementing effective solutions to strengthen resilience and support responsible business development during the full-scale war. Practices are assessed based on the results achieved, supporting evidence and the value of the experience for others.
The event organisers, the Office of Sustainable Solutions and ESG Liga PAEW, held the awards ceremony during the ESG Leaders Assembly “Responsibility That Has a Price”.
The jury recognised DTEK Oil&Gas’s project using STRYDE cableless seismic technology, which combines high-quality geological data acquisition with a reduced environmental impact from surveying. The use of STRYDE forms part of a systematic approach to sustainability that considers operational efficiency, resource use and environmental impact.
The cableless system provides high-quality data on subsurface geology to identify promising exploration areas and plan drilling. Compact equipment and faster deployment and retrieval reduce transport requirements and fuel consumption. Installing the sensors does not require vehicle access to each location, helping minimise disturbance to ecosystems during surveys.
According to calculations by DTEK Oil&Gas specialists, the carbon footprint of a seismic operation using STRYDE is 58% lower than that of cable-based technology. In the comparison presented, this amounts to approximately 277 tonnes of avoided CO₂-equivalent emissions.
The experience of using STRYDE demonstrates how technology can improve operational efficiency while reducing the impact of operations on ecosystems.
