DTEK Oil&Gas and Belorusneft entered into a contract to drill wells at the Semyrenkivske Field
DTEK Oil&Gas conducted an open bidding procedure to select a partner for drilling gas wells. Terms of cooperation were developed in compliance with international standards applied by leading global drilling companies, and were based on IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) practices, namely: independent management of drilling services by the project owner based on IDS (Integrated Drilling Services) principles and adherence to international requirements for contractual documentation.
New wells of the Semyrenkivske Field will be drilled over the period from 2017 to 2019. Each well will be drilled directionally and have the depth of approximately six thousand meters. The drilling of the first well will be launched already in September this year.
“The drilling equipment supplied by Belorusneft fully conforms to our requirements, and the personnel have all the necessary expertise in working in similar projects. We place extreme importance on the completion of the drilling according to the schedules, and compliance with high standards of quality, industrial and environmental safety. I am confident that by working with our Belarusian partners we will be able to make yet another contribution to the development of the gas extraction segment, which forms the foundation of the economic and energy stability of Ukraine,” underlined Igor Shchurov, CEO of DTEK Oil&Gas.
“Our company has considerable experience in providing oil services in Ukraine, and is constantly striving to expand the scope and range of such services. Ukraine is one of the key markets for our company due to its geographic proximity. Belorusneft is interested in establishing mutual partnership relationships with one of the largest players on the Ukrainian oil and gas market, DTEK Oil&Gas. We fully appreciate the complexity and importance of such a landmark project as drilling of gas condensate and gas wells in Ukraine and are confident that the owner’s expectations will be supported by the quality of our services,” commented Aleksandr Lyakhov, CEO of Belorusneft.
