Naftogazvydobuvannya introduces modern gas metering systems
For the first time in the operation of Ukrainian gas producing companies an automated on-line chromatography system has been commissioned within the framework of the upgrade of Machukhy gas treatment facility. This system provides an opportunity to determine in real time the contents and physicochemical properties of gas (C1...C6+ hydrocarbons, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and other components contents, and also gas density and calorific value).
The facility was also fitted with a stream humidity meter that facilitates uninterrupted on-line monitoring of gas dew point temperature (one of the most important indicators of the quality of gas supplied to a gas transportation pipeline).
Other production facilities of Naftogazvydobuvannya are being upgraded as well. In particular, the company develops projects for the reconstruction of gas flow meters at Olefirivka gas gathering facility and Semyrenky central gas processing facility. These facilities will also be fitted with on-line chromatographers.
“We upgrade our production capacities by improving the efficiency of gas treatment and making it compliant with European quality standards. At the same time, we use high-quality Ukrainian and imported equipment that ensures the reliability of operations and long service life of our facilities,” stressed Oleksii Raptanov, Chief Technology Officer at PJSC Naftogazvydobuvannya.
