DTEK Oil&Gas and DTEK Academy Held a Seminar on Evaluation of Reserves and Resources under the SPE-PRMS International Classification
Alexander Gitman, Consulting Reservoir Engineer at Miller & Lents who has 12 years of experience in evaluating oil-and-gas fields under international standards, told the participants about the methods of SPE-PRMS reserve evaluation. Alexander is experienced in non-conventional fields, gas fields with high reservoir pressure, and evaluation of oil fields with water flooding. Miller & Lents, Ltd. evaluated the reserves of many fields in Ukraine, including those of DTEK Oil&Gas.
The SPE-PRMS evaluation of hydrocarbon reserves and resources was created by the global professional community of the oil-and-gas sector: Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the World Petroleum Council (WPC).
“Implementing the SPE-PRMS evaluation system in Ukraine will help attract new investments into the industry, objectify the country’s resource potential and improve the business environment in the oil-and-gas industry,” said Ivan Gafych, Exploration and Prospective Development Director at DTEK Oil&Gas.
