The participants reviewed innovative technologies for the entire gas production chain from geology and drilling to the development of fields, production, workover of wells, digitalization of production and business processes. 40 presentations in six sections in total were given at the conference. Among the companies that spoke about their innovative solutions were Schlumberger, Halliburton, Weatherford, RPS Energy, Target Energy Solutions, Hilong Group, and others.

Igor Shchurov, General Director of DTEK Oil&Gas, noted, “It is necessary to apply the latest technologies in gas production in order to ensure the energy independence of Ukraine. That is why DTEK Oil&Gas organized a specialized international conference that was attended by the leading service companies and experts acknowledged in the global oil and gas community. This year, our company was able to additionally extract about 100 million cubic meters of gas due to innovations and modern technologies only. If we scale up the effect to the entire industry, in five years Ukraine can become self-sufficient in gas and take a strong position of an exporting country.”

Jean-Marc Dumas, Regional Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a reputable international organization, took part in the conference and pointed out, “Ukraine has everything to increase gas production: strong mining companies with vast experience, scientific and educational base and good specialists. Therefore, I am sure that the Ukrainian gas industry has a great future.”
