In the first half of 2017, DTEK Oil&Gas extracted 835 mln cubic meters of natural gas and more than 28 thousand tonnes of gas condensate, which is 7.5% and 5.4% higher than the indicators of the same period of the last year accordingly.

The reconstruction and upgrade of ground infrastructure, which gave an opportunity to improve continued and safe operations of gas treatment facilities and ensure that the quality of gas conforms to the European standards, became an important factor in the production growth. Gas extraction is enhanced by the intensification of well flow rates of producing wells achieved as a result of an in-depth study of productive formations and gas production modelling.

DTEK Oil&Gas plans to finish the drilling of well no. 34 with the depth of more than 5.6 thousand meters in the Semyrenkivske Field by the end of August this year. Furthermore, in 2017, the company will start drilling one producing well and two exploratory wells to discover and exploit new high-potential targets located at the depth of more than 6 thousand meters.

“Our company continues demonstrating high performance indicators and we intend to scale up the drilling of new wells in the coming months. At the same time, the general growth dynamics slowed down as a result of adverse market trends and harshening regulatory environment observed in the previous periods. Resolute efforts of government authorities aimed at the creation of favourable investment and regulatory environment are a prerequisite for the steady growth of the Ukrainian gas production sector,” emphasised DTEK Oil&Gas CEO Igor Shchurov.
