Under the lead of Igor Shchurov, DTEK Oil&Gas increased gas production more than 3 times and produced a record 1.65 billion cubic meters of gas for Ukrainian private gas production in 2017. Over the past five years, the company has drilled 14 new deep wells, built modern infrastructure facilities, upgraded the Machukhska gas treatment plant, and attracted international drilling and service contractors to the Ukrainian market.

About 100 industry experts, analysts and market participants put together the ranking. They identified the most significant markets for the Ukrainian economy in terms of their contribution to the country’s GDP and combined some of them, resulting in 11 sectors: agricultural, financial, industry, oil and gas production, IT and telecommunications, retail, food industry, construction and development, pharmaceuticals, car market, transport and infrastructure. The experts evaluated the activities of both those who manage their own businesses and the top managers of private companies and state and municipal assets. As a result, the expert board selected the best three managers (in no particular order) in each of the sectors, each worthy of being named the best top manager in their industry last year.
