DTEK Oil&Gas Social Partnership: UAH 9 mln to Develop Local Communities in 2019

DTEK Oil&Gas has financed 12 social projects implemented in the local communities in Poltava Region where the company extracts natural gas. The total amount of financing was UAH 9 mln. The company implements healthcare, cultural, educational, social infrastructure, and energy efficiency projects in Shyshaky, Myrhorod, and Poltava Districts of Poltava Region within the framework of its Social Partnership Strategies. The company engages the public, representatives of local executive authorities and local self-governments in the development of social partnership strategies.
The projects implemented in 2019 included the following: repair of more than 20 km of motorways, establishing and equipping three primary care clinics, repair of the pediatric department comprising of 42 wards of Shyshaky district hospital, repair of a child day care centre, replacement of 70 windows in schools, purchase of a garbage truck, etc. The company’s social projects help to improve lives of more than 25 thousand residents of Poltava Region.
Apart from the implementation of the Social Partnership Strategies, the Region and communities receive royalties paid for the extraction of hydrocarbons that are used to implement projects undertaken by districts and villages to develop their territories.
