The training was attended by students, post-graduates and research associates of the leading Ukrainian universities that train specialists in the field of geology, including the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and the Institute of Geology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Paul Spooner, an Interactive Petrophysics software specialist and petrophysicist with more than 30 years of experience in the world’s largest companies, told the participants how to work with this modern product. The training lasted five days and took place at the DTEK Academy.

In autumn 2017, DTEK Oil&Gas held a public workshop on the international audit of oil and gas reserves in the SPE-PRMS for asset valuation, production development and investment support.

Ivan Gafych, Exploration and Prospective Development Director of DTEK Oil&Gas, said, “Qualified personnel who know how to work with modern technologies and equipment are one of the key factors for the successful development of the oil and gas industry. Therefore, DTEK Oil&Gas constantly works on developing professionals in the oil and gas sector in Ukraine, regularly holding conferences and training at the country’s leading specialized universities. Moreover, we regularly organize visits to production facilities and take students for practical training. They often become our employees after graduation.”
