Energy-Efficient School for the New School Year

The school teaches children from three villages of the Machukhska United Territorial Community: Machukhy, Sudiyivka, Shevchenky. 283 children in total. The windows in the building have never been replaced since the school was built in 1987, which is more than 30 years. DTEK Oil&Gas has replaced 94 windows with modern energy-saving double-glazed windows under the social partnership program.

Head of the Machukhska United Territorial Community Valerii Belokon noted, “DTEK Oil&Gas helps our community in financing important social projects: medical and obstetric centres and community centres are renovated, water supply systems are built, the infrastructure is improved, and roads repaired. This year our children went to a much warmer and much more comfortable school. We are grateful to the company for the fruitful cooperation.”

DTEK Oil&Gas financed more than 50 social projects in three districts of the Poltava Region in 2014–2017 in the amount of more than UAH 43 million. These are projects for the improvement of energy efficiency, quality of medical services, and development of the social infrastructure.
